Feel good story inside.
When Mike King was eight-years-old, he promised his father that he’d buy him a 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air for his 57th birthday. At the time, that was years and years away and something that his father didn’t expect him to actually go forward with.
You see, Mike’s father grew up with six other siblings in a relatively poor family and dreamed of one day owning a 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air, but realized that it was something that likely would never happen. His son, Mike, never forgot the promise that he made his father when he was only eight-years-old. Mike spent the past couple years looking for, researching, and actually buying a ’57 Bel Air for his father in what would become the greatest birthday gift, ever.
On his birthday, his family gathered around him outside of the garage and opened up the door where the Bel Air was sitting. At first, Mike’s father didn’t notice as he was so intent on fixing the cornhole boards, but upon looking up to see what else may need fixing, he was awestruck at his dream car sitting there right before his eyes.
It’s not easy to watch his reaction and keep your eyes dry.
