The Ferrari 458 Speciale is pretty special. Ferrari took the already exciting 458 Italia and transformed it into a track-day aficionado with all sorts of new technology, more power, new aerodynamics, and suspension goodies. It’s not exactly a calm, luxury supercar, but sitting along the beach and the rolling waves in Monterey, CA during Monterey Auto Week it turns into a peaceful, serene beauty.
That is, until the 4.5-liter V-8 engine fires up and all 597 horsepower starts breathing out of the exhaust pipes before it roars down along the beach. The calm, demeanor of the Speciale only lasted for a bit, but it looks so perfect on those winding Monterey roads.
