When the Audi R8 came onto the supercar scene it instantly captured the hearts and minds of enthusiasts. Backed by the success of the brand’s dominance at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the R8 held an impressive performance pedigree to match its modern styling. Although it is due for a complete redesign today, it still is turning heads with the help of Brixton Forged and their friends at Concept Motorsport.
The Mugello Blue Pearl Audi R8 V10 was given the full PPI treatment by the team at Concept Motorsport in Indonesia. The all-wheel drive supercar now sports a carbon fiber aerodynamic package with two carbon fiber side blades and large wing grabbing most of the attention. However, that’s only part of the story for the German supercar.
The other eye-popping part of the conversion for the Audi R8 is its new set of Brixton Forged R10D wheels. These modular three-piece wheels are constructed from lightweight forged 6061-T6 aluminum alloy and feature weight-reduced floated spoke ends to reduce rotating mass for better overall performance. A classic ten-spoke shape curves with a directional mesh to create the impression of speed and power, especially with the concave depth.
Up front, the Brixton Forged R10D Targa wheels measure 9.0 x 20 while the rear staggers in at a wide 12.0 x 20 setup for a wider footprint. The factory Mugello Blue Pearl paint is contrasted by the Carbon Bronze color with a matte clear finish on the 120-grit brushed raw aluminum face and inner batterl for a rich textured aesthetic while a high-luster Carbon Bronze with matter clear finish adorns the outer lip.
