The new blockbuster hit, Elysium, starring Matt Damon and Jodie Foster was filled with all sorts of high-tech, sci-fi goodies as well as some interesting props, one of which was a Nissan GT-R.
On the barren, apocalyptic terrain of Earth, a 140-year-old Nissan GT-R modified to the gills with all sorts of armor, sirens, antenna, and more speeds around with its hardened exterior and growling 3.8-liter, twin-turbocharged engine. Three of those cars were built for the movie and only one survived filming to be drivable. That silver screen star made an appearance at SR Auto Group’s showroom and was fitted with a new set of PUR 2WO monoblock forged wheels that are more than capable of surviving until 2154 when Elysium takes place.
The rough, tattered, and modified Nissan GT-R may not look like the show-stopping, shiny supercar that most expect, but it has an aggressive presence complemented by the downright dirty set of PUR 2WO wheels.
The rare movie star was equipped with a pair of 10.0 x 20 PUR 2WOs up front and two staggered 11.0 x 20s at the rear. A modern matte black finish adorns each of the wheels to match the roughed up look of the GT-R while vibrant blue hardware provides a special highlight.
