Stance, stance, stance!
The team at SR Auto Group knows a thing or two about a proper stance, and they bestowed that knowledge on the new Mercedes-AMG GT S. While the fitment may seem exotic like the car’s character, it involved a relatively simple list of upgrades: PUR 4OUR.M2 forged wheels and H&R springs.
The small, powerful sports car features a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V-8 engine cranking out 503 horsepower and 480 lb-ft. of torque – good for a 3.7-second 0-60 mph acceleration time and 190 mph top speed. That’s quite a lot of power and performance, but the PUR 4OUR.M2 forged wheels are more than up for the task.
The two-piece forged PUR 4OUR.M2 wheels have all the good stuff from lightweight side pocketing to an aerospace-grade 6061-T6 aluminum alloy construction. Each wheel features a Matte Anthracite face with Gloss Black inner barrels and exposed hardware with a Monaco Gold finish that steals attention.
For the Mercedes-AMG GT S, a staggered setup was chosen to emphasize the wide, aggressive design of the sports car. Up front, the POUR 4OUR.M2 wheels sit in a 9.0 x 20 setup while the rear comes in with a dynamic 12.0 x 21 size for a large footprint.
But that was only part of the story. The rest comes from the newly installed H&R lowering springs that reduce the ride height to a point that allows the wheels to sit snug just under the fenders for a clean, low stance.
This Mercedes-AMG GT S is all about riding low and having a good time.
