An updated weapon for the racetrack.
The Ferrari 458 Challenge has been blazing through racetracks around the world since 2011 and has made its mark in the Ferrari one-make racing series. Now, the Italian automaker has released its newest version of the popular racecar – the Ferrari 458 Challenge Evoluzione.
The new Ferrari 458 Challenge Evoluzione was unveiled during a cloudy and wet day at Mugello to a brave crowd that was allowed to test the car in these conditions. The new racecar features an updated body kit with a new splitter and underbody that is designed to increase downforce and keep it at the front of the pack on the track. A full race-tuned suspension, electronic differential, and other motorsports-specific components will make it even better than its outgoing Ferrari 458 Challenge predecessor.
The new Ferrari 458 Challenge Evoluzione will be required on all cars participating in the 2014 Ferrari Challenge single-make series and sales will begin in a few weeks. Pricing and official specifications have not been released.
