Ten miles, just a little scratch.
At the 2016 Wisconsin Dell Automotion car show, one driver of a brand-spankin’ new Chevrolet Corvette Z06 was left really, really regretting his decision to shred some tires. Essentially, the Corvette and its driver tried to do an impression of a Mustang leaving a car show, but thankfully, bystanders weren’t hit.
Right off the bat, the Corvette comes in hot to the walled-off area for tire-shredding fun. Upon doing the first donut, the driver loses control and cannot brake in time to prevent hitting the large concrete barrier set up. That causes the air bags to instantly deploy on the Corvette that, according to the video uploader, had only 10 miles on it.
The Corvette Z06 appears to have some pretty significant front-end damage and those airbags aren’t exactly cheap to fix either. Luckily, the driver was able to walk away and the concrete barrier prevented the super car from hitting bystanders.
Just make sure that you are familiar with your car and how it drives before showing it off at a car show, kids!
