Someone grab a few air fresheners.
Car crashes are never fun and can be very dangerous. The crash that Mikko Hirvonen was a part of in the 2013 Wales Rally GB was a bit more comical and quite the crappy experience.
Hirvonen and his co-driver, Jarmo Lehtinen, were racing in the Wales Rally GB to finish the season and hoping to go out with a bang. Well, they did go out with a bang, albeit a very, very smelly one.
Coming out of a turn in sixth gear, Hirvonen lost control and ended up rolling the Citroën DS3 WRC. But unlike many of the crashes that occur in WRC, this one had the driving duo land in a pile of manure, covering the car, cockpit, and their racing suits, forcing them to retire.
Sure is a pretty crappy way to end a season.
