There’s a never-ending list of idiots getting behind the wheel and driving vehicles all over the world. No matter how much driving education is available and laws are on the books, there will always be stupid people driving. Take this example in China where a stupid driver got their Mercedes-Benz E-Class got stuck in concrete.
The Mercedes-Benz E-Class costs quite a bit in China. Instead of the starting price of $51,000 here in the U.S., it costs about $100,000 USD over there. That’s a lot of money to have tied up in some concrete.
We’ve seen this before with a Porsche 911 who tried to take a shortcut, but this driver didn’t get the memo. According to the local media, this driver of the Mercedes-Benz E-Class was trying to take a shortcut in the middle of the night down a road under construction. However, wet concrete covered the entire shortcut. The workers warned the driver, but they were ignored.
After about 200 meters, the concrete won. The Mercedes-Benz E-Class was left stuck in the drying concrete and the owner was left with a big problem. Workers had to use jackhammers to free the car and it’ll likely cost a pretty penny to get everything fixed and the hardened concrete removed.
