It looks like we’ll be giving out some Darwin awards in Russia this year.
On this week’s edition of Friday FAIL, we’re heading over to Russia where things are just a bit different. It’s sort of hard to describe the odd happenings there, many of which are caught on dashcams. In the world of tanks flying across traffic, meteors flying across the sky, and people riding wild hogs, this recent report of people sledding behind cars on the roadways seems rather civilized.
But it’s still the big FAIL for the week.
In Yekaterinburg, Russia, police are searching for the people involved in the sledding incident on the city’s main street. An Opel Astra was caught on video towing an idiot in a sled through traffic, which is incredibly dangerous and stupid. This isn’t a rare occurrence either. According to LifeNews, a girl was killed doing the same stunt last year.
It may come as a surprise that this is illegal in Russia, but “Carriage of passengers outside the cabin” can result in a fine of 1,000 rubles and/or some serious road rash.
Thanks for giving us endless material, Russia.
