Turbos don’t like mud.
Andre Wisdom has a pretty bright future ahead of him. The 20-year-old soccer star is the Under-21 captain for England and is already making enough money to buy himself a pretty fancy Porsche Panamera Turbo. However, he and Porsche’s satellite navigation both had a pretty big fail as the young soccer player was on his way to a match.
Wisdom was new to the area and had stopped by a store to get a drink before heading off to the upcoming soccer match at Pride Park ground. Being that he was unfamiliar with his surroundings, he plugged the address into the factory satellite navigation system, thinking that it would provide him with the best route to the game.
Well, it didn’t.
In what must’ve been a scene reminiscent of The Office’s Michael Scott driving into a lake after blindly following his navigation system, Wisdom took the six-figure Porsche right into a pit of mud and water, getting stranded in the process. Luckily, he was able to hitch a ride and make it to the stadium in time for the match thanks to a Good Samaritan, but he’s left with a big headache.
Unfortunately, the navigation system led him down an unpaved, muddy road through the woods, which was definitely not the way to get to Pride Park ground. So, big fail on the Porsche factory navigation. But, Wisdom also deserves a fail himself for following a muddy road leading him to the middle of nowhere for miles.
Pete Irons spotted the stuck Porsche Panamera Turbo in the mud while mountain biking through the woods. He called the police and the car was eventually pulled out by a Jeep Cherokee. According to Mirror News, the car was spotted driving away emitting a white cloud of smoke. Sounds like it’s going to need a good cleaning and some repairs after getting stuck in the mud!
Wisdom now knows that all-wheel drive, a twin-turbocharged 4.8-liter V-8, and all sorts of driving aids won’t help you go off-road or through the mud.
