Someone’s boss is going to be mad.
Well, that took long. It’s been less than a month since the new 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray (C7) was unveiled at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit and there’s already been a crash caught on camera.
This first crash occurred in Arizona and looks like the prototype endured a pretty good amount of damage. Accidents with prototype test cars don’t result in your usual car repairs. These bad boys are usually packed with tons of new technology, computers, data, mechanicals, etc. that aren’t always the easiest or cheapest to replace, so somebody may have had a fun meeting with their boss after this.
According to “gpetry” on DigitalCorvettes.com, a friend emailed the picture with the following description:
“Driving through some mountains in Arizona about 30 minutes ago. In some tight switchbacks when we passed this ’14 Vette. Cop had just arrived. Car is in worse shape than looks. Hit guardrail on left and bounced back to rocks.”
Thankfully, the driver was okay and the Corvette sustained only minor damage.
