G-Power gets Serious with the BMW M6 Gran Coupe

G-Power BMW M6 Gran Coupe

Power, power, and more power.

The BMW M6 Gran Coupe is an absolute beast with a sleek four-door coupe shape right from the factory thanks to its twin-turbocharged V-8 engine. G-Power, however, has exciting plans in mind for the F06 Gran Coupe and has developed three different stages of power bumps that launches the M6 into super car territory.

The first stage of horsepower-generating fun from G-Power gives customers the choice between the Bi-Tronik 5 power module or Bi-Tronik 2 ECU remap. The Bi-Tronik 5 is a plug-and-play unit that’s easy to install while the Bi-Tronik 2 is a customized ECU software remap directly into the factory ECU. Both options result in the 4.4-liter, twin-turbocharged V-8 engine producing 650 horsepower and 612 lb-ft. of torque.

For those that want a bit more of a kick in the pants, they can opt for the G-Power Bi-Tronik 5 V2 that includes new stainless steel downpipes with or without 200-cell catalytic converters to reduce backpressure. This, including the new mapping, results in 700 horsepower and 667 lb-ft. of torque.

The final, most powerful stage of tuning that customers can opt for on their BMW M6 Gran Coupe is the G-Power Bi-Tronik 2 V3 program. A full software tune, new downpipes, and full titanium exhaust with quad rear tailpipes reduces weight by 23 lbs. over the factory setup and results in a muscular 740 horsepower and 719 lb-ft. of torque. That’s good enough to send the four-door coupe to 124 mph in just 10.5 seconds and hit a top speed of 202 mph. That’s super car territory right there, folks.

To go along with the massive power increases, G-Power offers new 21-inch forged wheels to add grip and reduce weight. Their Hurricane RR forged alloys measure 9.0 x 21 and 10.5 x 21 at the front and rear, and feature a classic twin-spoke design that perfectly complements the factory design of the M6 Gran Coupe. To boost grip, new 255/30 ZR21 and 295/25 ZR21 performance tires were also added.

Every upgrade featured on the BMW M6 Gran Coupe is currently available from G-Power as an individual part from the three stages of tuning to the new wheels and exhaust system.
