The sport-infused cruiser.
The new Porsche 991 represents a new start for Gemballa. After going through a very uncertain time in its storied history that saw its founder murdered, the current ownership is opening up a bright, new chapter that is starting with the newest generation of Porsche 911. Their latest package, the Gemballa GT for the 911 Cabriolet, is a sporty styling upgrade with a touch of performance that makes the open-top sports car a perfect curvy-road cruiser.
The new Gemballa GT package is a full carbon fiber aerodynamic suit designed with high-tech lasers to ensure a precise fitment. The standard OEM bodywork can be removed and seamlessly replaced with the aftermarket body kit without any need for modifications, allowing the kit to be removed if needed at any time.
The front fascia of the Porsche 911 Cabriolet features a new bumper and spoiler with three new cooling intakes for better efficiency and better downforce. The new design flows along each side into the pair of carbon fiber skirts that calm airflow around the rear wheels for better stability at higher speeds. At the rear, the drop-top sports car features a new bumper with recessed vertical reflectors and a diffuser with integrated stainless steel exhaust system. The new exhaust system mimics the dual, triple-outlet design of the Gemballa Avalanche, but features squared-off edges as opposed to the rounded shape. A new valve system helps to alter the different tones and gives the 991 a deeper, more aggressive sound.
In addition to the Gemballa GT styling package, the new 991 Cabriolet can be fitted with new chassis upgrades. The suspension can be equipped with a new spring set that is 30 mm lower than the stock system and works in conjunction with PASM to improve handling. The brakes can also be replaced with a new system developed in partnership with Brembo for better and more reliable stopping power.
All of the new components in the Gemballa GT package are currently available for the new Porsche 911 Cabriolet models. The entire styling program can be ordered as a complete package or as individual accessories along with the suspension, brakes, and exhaust upgrades. Pricing for the components has not been released by the German tuner.
