An all new Lamborghini gets ready to break cover.
At the end of February, Ferrari shocked us all with their unveiling of the F12 Berlinetta, the fastest and most powerful Prancing Horse yet. Well, their competition also has a trump card hidden up their sleeve that they are waiting to unveil at 9:00 AM on March 6th in Geneva – the Lamborghini Unica.
Not much is known about the new Lamborghini Unica. Some say it’s the new production version of the Sesto Elemento Concept car that the automaker introduced last year. Some, like AutoForum.cz, believe that it is the new, topless Aventador. And we’re not talking convertible topless, we mean there is no top whatsoever. As shown in these photographs that are claimed to be authentic, it will have no pillars or roof and provide drivers with a true open air V-12 motoring experience.
It’s speculated that the new Lamborghini Unica will be powered by the same 6.5-liter V-12 with 691 bhp as the Aventador LP700-4 and will likely use the new seven-speed single-clutch gearbox. But, that’s just speculation and we could see something radically different. Much of the Lamborghini Unica’s design as seen in the pictures has been influenced by the Sesto Elemento Concept with all sorts of sharp edges, striking vents, and carbon fiber elements.
The new Lamborghini Unica is set to be unveiled on Tuesday, March 6th at 9:00 AM. Be sure to check back with us for all of the juicy details and HD pictures for the new car.
