Before his passing due to lung cancer, he was able to amass some pretty impressive finishes and become the oldest driver to be part of a winning team in a major sanctioned race after he won his class at the 1995 24 Hours of Daytona at age 70.
He drove numerous cars in a variety of classes and races, honing his craft and adding to his legendary status that it is today. His accomplishments are nothing short of impressive on and off the silver screen and the track, and he will forever be remembered.
