The Black Pearl, the most exclusive and sought after G-Power Typhoon.
Intimidating and muscular, the G-Power Typhoon Black Pearl is dressed in all black and features striking aerodynamic components. Designed using state-of-the-art CAD technology, the bodywork is equivalent to OEM quality and is available in PU-Rim. Wheel arches at the front and rear have been extended seven centimeters to accommodate the wide wheels. At the front of the Black Pearl, a new bumper improves engine cooling and reduces lift, while creating a menacing appearance. Running between the wide wheel arches are side skirts that house five LED lights that illuminate beneath the car. On top of the side skirts are stainless-steel inserts with the G-Power logo illuminated in a cool blue. At the rear is a redesigned bumper with a dual-tip center exhaust. A rear diffuser is integrated into the bumper and works in conjunction with the roof spoiler to increase downforce.
Giving the G-Power Typhoon Black Pearl immense power is the in-house SK III RS supercharger system that was created in conjunction with renowned supercharger developer ASA Ingenieurbüro. At 14.5 psi (1.0 Bar) of boost pressure, the ASA T1-725 supercharger contributes to a power output of 625 horsepower and 516 lb-ft. of torque. A new two-part carbon intake air duct allows for air to be sucked in through the supercharger. For reduced compression, G-Power uses forged pistons that have been manufactured in the Formula 1 department at MAHLE. The entire engine from crankshaft to fuel injectors has been re-engineered to handle the increased performance.
Due to the increased power, the six-speed automatic transmission driving all four wheels had to be strengthened. With a screaming supercharger, the Black Pearl accelerates to 62 mph in just 4.5 seconds, while 124 mph is reached in 16 seconds. Top speed is 186 mph, impressive for an SUV that has a stock curb weight of over 5,000 lbs.
Staying true to the intimidating all-black theme are the G-power BMW Silverstone aluminum wheels. Measuring 11Jx23 at the front and 12Jx23 at the rear, the all-black wheels are wrapped in four 315/25 ZR 23 high performance Michelin tires for optimum grip.
The interior of the Black Pearl can be completely custom-tailored with a large array of leather and ultra-suede colors. An optional carbon trim is available to compliment the black exterior. A Typhoon-design speedometer and ergonomic sports steering wheel are available along with other interior accessories.
The G-Power Typhoon Black Pearl is available as a complete automobile from € 295,000 +/- $415,225 (net). G-Power components can also be ordered for any BMW E70 X5 seperately.
