There’s something magical about Le Mans. The 8.5-mile (13.629 km) long track that weaves through French roads is iconic and the 24-hour endurance race has created legends throughout its 90-year history. Drivers from around the world spend an incredible amount of time and effort into the race, just to take that checkered flag.
Our friends at Clashproduction followed the Gulf Racing Middle East team at the 2012 24 Hours of Le Mans and documented everything that the team put into the race from the long hours of preparation to their incredible effort during the race. Directed by Stéphane Benini, the hour-long documentary features driver and crew interviews, in-car footage, and stunning race shots that will have you glued to your computer screen.
The Gulf Racing Middle East team entered the No 28 Lola B12/80-Nissan driven by Fabien Giroix, Ludovic Badey, and Stefan Johansson while the No 29 Lola B12/80-Nissan LMP2 car was driven by Keiko Ihara, Jean-Denis Délétraz, and Marc Rostan. Unfortunately, both cars did not finish, but the documentary captures the emotions and frustrations that can sometimes only be seen in a race of this caliber.
The Gulf Racing Middle East team will be back with the No. 28 car for the 2013 24 Hours of Le Mans and we wish them the best of luck!
