Gettin’ wide with the M6.
The International Motor Show in Frankfurt was filled with excitement as the latest and greatest from automakers and aftermarket companies took the stage. One car that was shimmering in the spotlight was the new Hamann Motorsport Mirror GC based on the F06 BMW M6 Gran Coupe.
The Hamann Mirror GC wasn’t focused on stealing the show with raw power, rather with its extravagant looks, glistening finish, and muscular widebody styling. The German tuner installed a full widebody kit that adds a bit of visual strength to the 547 horsepower 4.4-liter, twin-turbocharged V-8 that sits beneath its hood.
Up front, the Hamann Mirror GC wears a new bumper spoiler and larger air intakes that aid in cooling the monstrous engine along with a black carbon ventilated hood. Both the front and rear fenders were extended by 40 mm and connected by a pair of side skirts to give the BMW M6 Gran Coupe a wide and powerful stance. A three-part rear center panel, wing, and black carbon spoiler aid in generating downforce for better high-speed stability.
Protruding from that chiseled rear bumper is a Hamann Motorsport sports exhaust system. The exhaust features a new muffler with four black anodized tailpipes that optimize backpressure and let out a ferocious roar from the twin-turbo V-8.
The new Hamann Mirror GC will be offered with a wide range of wheels in a variety of sizes. The feature BMW M6 Gran Coupe show car was outfitted with special ultra-lightweight Unique Forged Formula wheels with a nine-spoke Y-design and central locking system. Filling in the fenders are 9.0 x 21 Unique Forged Formula wheels up front and 11.0 x 21s at the rear, outfitted with 265/30 and 305/25 ultra-high-performance Vredestein Ultrac Vorti R tires, respectively. Bringing the new fitment closer to the bulging fenders is a new set of progressive sport springs that lower the overall ride height by 25 mm.
The interior of the Hamann Mirror GC isn’t a flashy as the exterior, but it still has a variety of special upgrades. The pedals and foot rest are all made out of aluminum while a new set of floor mats sport the company logo.
The Hamann Motorsport Mirror GC based on the BMW M6 Gran Coupe (F06) is currently available as an entire upgrade or individual accessories.
