For years the Mercedes-Benz CLS was the king of the four-door coupes. Even when other automakers began to inject the new segment into their lineups, the CLS still ruled with its sleek and swooping lines. Now that BMW has entered the game with their 6 Series Gran Coupe (F06) and the new CLS has arguably met its match, especially when Hamann Motorsports gets involved.
The new BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe has undergone a makeover courtesy of Hamann Motorsports that will make it even more of a show-stopper than it already was. The entire exterior was redesigned thanks to a new aerodynamic styling package from the German tuner. Up front sits a more aggressive bumper with two horizontal LED daytime running lights, larger vents to feed the engine with cool air, and a more aerodynamic chin to increase downforce at the front axle. A carbon fiber hood helps to reduce weight and provides for some extra ventilation for the engine while a pair of side skirts helps to redirect air away from the wheels. At the rear sits a new trunklid spoiler that increases downforce at the rear axle, a new rear bumper with integrated diffuser, and set of quad tailpipes.
In order to complement the more powerful bodywork, Hamann Motorsports has fitted the BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe with a set of their new Anniversary EVO Hyper Black aluminum alloy wheels and a proper suspension. The lightweight wheels were fitted in a 9J x 21 front and 11.0J x 21 rear setup with 255/30ZR21 and 295/25ZR21 high performance tires for better grip. Behind them are new advanced lowering springs that reduce ride height by 30 mm for an optimum center of gravity and better handling dynamics.
For customers that want even more levels of customization with their BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe, Hamann Motorsports can install a wide range of custom-tailored leathers, woods, and other finishes to the interior.
All of the featured components on the BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe (F06) are currently available from Hamann Motorsports and can be ordered individually or as an entire package. Pricing has not been released.
