Just a couple of fun things for the drop-top 4-Series.
BMW recently unveiled its 2015 M4 Convertible and it is the ultimate in performance for the drop-top two-door. The team at Hartge however, is giving owners of the non-M 4-Series a chance to get more power and some style to boot with their new upgrade offerings that range from engine tuning to new wheels.
The most exciting part of the upgrades is easily the engine tunes available for both the gasoline and diesel motors. The most powerful engine in the standard 4-Series lineup is the turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six found in the 435i. Hartge was able to pump up the power to 362 horsepower at 5,660 RPM and 354 lb-ft. at 2,950 RPM. For the smaller, turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four in the 428i, Hartge bumps the output up to 286 horsepower at 5,100 RPM and 302 lb-ft. at 2,700 RPM. The oil-burning 2.0-liter turbodiesel in the 420d gets a boost to 218 horsepower at 4,000 RPM and 332 lb-ft. of torque at just 1,800 RPM. All of these engine upgrades can be combined with the Hartge accelerator booster that gives a better throttle response and a remote control that can activate the engine tune.
Next up was the exterior where Hartge gives the 4-Series Convertible a wide selection of wheels and a couple of logos. Hartge Classic 2 and Ultima smokey silver are available in 8- and 9-inch widths with 19- or 20-inch diameters paired up with spacers and optional wheel caps when necessary. For those that want to show off their Hartge heritage under the hood, they can opt for the 140 mm logos for the exterior.
Inside, Hartge offers up an embossed aluminum emblem for the steering wheel that adds a special custom touch for drivers.
