Slick style for the four-door coupe.
The four-door coupe segment is heating up in the automotive industry, especially for the Germans. Now, all three of the main premium brands have their own variants and Mercedes-Benz is expanding it even further with the new CLA-Class. While BMW was a bit late to the game, it is still one of the most popular in terms of styling with its 6-Series Gran Coupe (F06). Its sleek styling and low profile design is beautiful and its performance is superb, especially after Hartge gets their hands on the four-door coupe.
Things start off with a bang for the BMW 6-Series Gran Coupe with Hartge. Both the gasoline and diesel-powered inline-sixes benefit from a new tuning upgrade that boosts power and performance for a more exciting drive. The twin-turbocharged N55B30 3.0-liter inline-six goes from a stock 320 horsepower to 367 horsepower at 5,900 RPM and 383 lb-ft. of torque at 2,950 RPM. The 3.0-liter turbodiesel in the 640d gets a boost from 313 horsepower stock to 362 horsepower at 4,400 RPM and 538 lb-ft. of torque from just 1,800 RPM thanks to Hartge. Each engine can also be mated with a new Hartge stainless steel cat-back exhaust with new middle- and rear silencers with 80 mm diameter left and right tailpipes.
The BMW 6-Series Gran Coupe is all about its sleek design, so the next aspect that Hartge focused on was the chassis. Here, the team lowered the ride height for both 640i and 650i models by 20- and 25 mm (f/r), and 30- and 25 mm (f/r), respectively with the use of new sport springs. The lowered stance can be complemented by two sets of Hartge wheel designs in a number of sizes and black wheel caps. Hartge Ultima wheels are featured in a 8 x 19″ offset 33 front and 9 x 19″ offset 43 rear setup with 245 / 40 ZR 19 and 275 / 35 ZR 19 Continental or Pirelli tires. The Hartge Classic 2 wheels can be installed in sizes up to 8.5 x 21″ offset 34 front and 9.5 x 21″ offset 48 rear with 255 / 30 ZR 21 and 295 / 25 ZR 21 tires for better grip and a wider footprint that complements the lowered stance.
In terms of styling, the Hartge BMW 6-Series Gran Coupe was outfitted with a number of small upgrades that accentuate the overall design of the four-door coupe. The exterior can be given a set of Hartge emblems in black or blue for the hood and trunklid that replace the standard BMW logos, and Hartge badges. Inside, the team offers aluminum pedals for automatic transmission models, new emblems, black velour floor mats, and an aluminum steering wheel emblem.
All of the upgrades for the BMW 6-Series Gran Coupe (F06) are currently available as an entire package or individual accessories. Pricing has not been released.
