Although the Audi Q3 crossover SUVs equipped with the 2.0 TDI engines won’t give you a white-knuckled, canyon-carving experience in stock form, they still hold the potential to at least be exciting. That potential was tapped into by ABT Sportsline and while they may not be as potent SQ3, they certainly provide some pep and fun.
“We wanted to show that compact dimensions, a powerful performance and premium standards can be perfectly combined,” said Hans-Jürgen Abt. Those compact dimensions allow handling to be pushed further thanks to a choice of suspension upgrades from ABT Sportsline. Customers can opt for the sport springs that reduce the ride height by 25 mm up front and 35 mm at the rear or the ABT height-adjustable kit that lowers the front from 30-60 mm and the rear by 40-70 mm for improved driving dynamics.
Gripping the pavement on the ABT Sportsline QS3 are Continental or Dunlop high-performance tires strapped to a wide variety of wheels. Customers can choose from the ABT CR, DR, ER-C, and FR wheels in sizes ranging from 8.5 x 20 to 9.5 x 18 with corresponding tires.
Both 2.0-liter turbodiesel engines in the Audi Q3 get a pretty significant boost in power from ABT Sportsline thanks to their ABT Power “New Generation” upgrade package. The less-powerful 2.0 TDI engine gets a boost up to 180 horsepower and 280 lb-ft. of torque while the more powerful factory variant goes all the way up to 210 horsepower and 310 lb-ft. of torque for some straight-line fun. A new rear muffler and exhaust tips help show off the added oil-burning muscle as well.
To help show off the new power and handling performance of the ABT Sportsline Audi QS3, the crossover was given more dramatic body work. A new front grille emblem set in chrome with skirt gives the fascia a bit more snarl while mirror caps, door strip attachments, and door decals further distinguish the QS3 from its stock counterparts. A new rear skit with integrated exhaust and spoiler adds to the new athleticism of the tuned SUV.
Inside, customers benefit from new floor and trunk mats with ABT embroidery and integrated entrance lights that illuminate with the ABT Sportsline logo.
All of the new upgrades shown the ABT Sportsline Audi QS3 are currently available for the crossover SUV as a complete package or individual accessories.
