The Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 is the most track-focused variant of the muscle car in the American automaker’s lineup. It’s designed to tear up tracks like the Nürburgring, where it passed the finish line in just 7:37.47, setting its mark as a force to be reckoned with. Now, that track-focused platform is getting even better thanks to the new Hennessey Performance HPE600 upgrade program.
The 7.0-liter naturally-aspirated V-8 engine was the main focus for the team at Hennessey Performance. Here, the American tuners got to work by upgrading the internals with ported cylinder heads, new valvetrain parts, custom HPE camshafts, and Redline Water Weter. A set of stainless steel longtube headers opens up the voice of the V-8 and helps optimize backpressure.
After some dyno tuning and road testing, the HPE600 Camaro Z/28 throws down a whopping 636 bhp at 7,000 RPM – a 131 horsepower increase compared to the stock model. Couple that with the impressive downforce-inducing aerodynamic kit, 300 lbs. of weight reduction, Brembo brakes, and more, and the HPE600 Camaro Z/28 becomes a brutal powerhouse on the racetrack.
To make the HPE600 Camaro Z/28 extra special, Hennessey Performance also includes a set of premium floor mats, carbon fiber door sills, exterior badging, and serial-numbered dashboard and engine plaques.
The HPE600 conversion for the Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 comes standard with a three-year, 36,000-mile warranty from Hennessey Performance.
