Dropping the Hammer on the Standing Mile.
Hennessey Performance has a knack for tuning American muscle. To showcase the engineering and capabilities of the company’s products, John Hennessey drove his personal CTS-V Sport Wagon to Chase Field in Beeville, Texas to complete the standing mile.
John’s CTS-V Sport Wagon, nicknamed the “Hammer Wagon,” is equipped with the Hennessey CTS-V V700 upgrade package that includes an upgraded supercharger system, exhaust, intake, and more. Total output for the Hennessey Cadillac is pegged at 707 bhp at 6,300 RPM.
Armed with the CTS-V “Hammer Wagon,” John was able to set a new standing mile world record for the CTS-V with a 189.7 mph run. During the run, he was able to achieve a 134 mph ¼-mile speed and 161 mph ½-mile speed.
