The Cadillac CTS-V is no joke. In stock form, it puts down the power and slaps a big white-knuckled smile on driver’s faces while they’re wrapped in a high-end suit of comfort. It’s a true luxury sport sedan but the team at Hennessey Performance have transformed it into a super sedan with their HPE750 Supercharged upgrade.
The recipe for the boost in performance is pretty straightforward but incredibly effective. The factory supercharged 6.2-liter V-8 engine boasts an impressive 640 horsepower and 630 lb-ft. of torque, but that force-fed motor still packs some potential.
Hennessey Performance’s HPE 750 Supercharged upgrade for the Cadillac CTS-V includes new pulleys to create more boost, a high-flow air induction system, and high-flow air-to-water intercooler upgrade. A new exhaust that includes long-tube stainless steel headers and mid-pipes helps to cut down on backpressure and pump out some thunder to hear and feel.
After an ECU tune, and dyno and road testing, the HPE750 Cadillac CTS-V produces a whopping 757 bhp at 6,400 RPM and 782 lb-ft. of torque at 4,200 RPM. That’s good enough to send it to 60 mph from rest in just 3.2 seconds and to 150 mph in 15.4 seconds. The quarter-mile disappears in just 11.2 seconds at 131 mph. Top speed is all the way back at 210 mph. That’s super car territory that the CTS-V is breaking into with an iron hammer.
And while all that power sounds like it can do some damage to the asphalt, owners can be rest assured that it comes with a three-year/36,000-mile warranty, standard. Special badging, serial numbering, and floor mats also come standard while monoblock wheels are an extra option.
