All the right stuff.
The 2016 Essen Motor Show is featuring all of the latest and greatest in the automotive world, and gives tuning companies one last chance to strut their stuff before 2017 beings. HG-Motorsport has been working on the new Audi TT-RS to get it ready for the big show and have put together quite the upgrade package.
The new Audi TT-RS is more powerful, more advanced, and more dynamic than before. Even the 2.5-liter engine is lighter and produces more power than before, which HG-Motorsport was more than happy to take advantage of.
The new 2.5-liter, turbocharged inline-five was given a new air intake system to suck in air more efficiently, a high-efficiency intercooler, and a new 89 mm exhaust system. This gets more air in and exhaust gasses out quicker. But HG-Motorsport wants to take that even further and is currently developing a carbon fiber air intake system and larger-diameter downpipe to generate even more power.
While the newly-tuned engine might excite drivers the most, the upgraded chassis is sure to put smiles on a few faces both inside and out. A new KW Variant 3 adjustable coilover suspension gives drivers the ability to fine-tune their setup for a given track or road. Hitting the pavement are new 9.5 x 20 Schmidt FS-Line three-piece alloy wheels with 245/30 ZR20 Hankook Ventus S1 Evo tires for added grip.
Visually, HG-Motorsport had a bit of fun with their show car. A dark vinyl wrap was added along with various logos and graphics, while the front badge was removed for a clean but menacing look.
The new HG-Motorsport Audi TT-RS is being showcased at the company stand C126 in Hall 5.0 at the Essen Motor Show until December 4th.
