Pumpin’ up the Power.
The newest Audi TT and TTS models may still be in their infancy when it comes to age, but HG-Motorsport is already taking charge by turning the top-model into a force on the road. Their new urban camo-wrapped Audi TTS shows off all the good stuff to tackle the curves and speed away with ease.
The 2.0 TFSI engine is already pumping out quite a bit of power in the TTS compared to its less powerful TT counterpart, and HG-Motorsport was able to push it even further. The turbocharged inline-four cylinder was equipped with a new RF-Series double-DIN intercooler along with a carbon fiber air intake housing with Pipercross Dry filter setup. Exhaust gas is expelled through a Bull-X EGO-X stainless steel exhaust system that includes a 3.5-inch downpipe, 200-cell HJS racing-grade catalytic converter, and dual exhaust valves controlled by a Bull X-Tronic module.
Just that is good enough to give the Audi TTS a 336 horsepower and 315 lb-ft. of torque, without an ECU software tune to optimize boost pressure, ignition, fuel, and other parameters. Once the development is finished with the tune, expect some bigger gains.
Part of the high-performance upgrade kit from HG-Motorsport for the Audi TTS lies beneath the beltline. A full KW Variant 2 coilover suspension kit lowers the sports car’s center of gravity for better lateral grip. An adjustable KW Variant 3 coilover setup is currently under development and will allow the TTS even greater handling abilities. Putting their mark on the pavement are new Schmidt FS three-piece alloy wheels measuring 9.5 x 20 at the front and rear, and wearing 245/30 R20 Hankook S1 Evo tires.
This is only the beginning for HG-Motorsport with the Audi TTS too. The team Is currently developing new upgrades that will make it even more powerful and dynamic, so stay tuned!
