The Hellboy Porsche Panamera S.
The Porsche Panamera is nothing short of controversial. It’s simply a love-it or hate-it car. One thing that cannot be argued is that it is a superb performer, feeling more like a sports car than a luxury sedan. edo competition has a new Hellboy program that seems to enhance the controversial design while also providing a richer driving experience.
The new Hellboy program boosts power in the 4.8-liter naturally-aspirated V-8 found in the Panamera S and 4S. The edo competition Porsche Panamera S is fitted with a complete exhaust system that includes stainless steel mufflers with remote-controlled butterfly valves, high performance catalytic converters, and billet aluminum ceramic-coated twin tailpipes. The new exhaust system is also 77 lbs (35 kg) lighter than the stock system. After an ECU tune and dyno testing, the Hellboy cranks out 465 horsepower and 405 lb-ft. of torque. This helps the sedan accelerate to 62 mph in just 4.6 seconds and reach a 190 mph (305 km/h) top speed.
The edo competition Panamera Hellboy isn’t about extreme bodywork or gaudy spoilers. Instead, the German tuner went with a “less is more” approach. At the front they installed a new skirt with integrated daytime running lights, air intakes, and carbon fiber spoiler. Each side of the Hellboy features bigger side skirts, carbon fiber side mirrors, and carbon fiber fender vents. At the rear, edo competition focused on improving downforce by installing a new apron with integrated diffuser and a Carrera RS-inspired ducktail spoiler atop the trunk. For those that believe the Panamera is an ugly duckling no matter what kind of visual upgrades are added, edo competition installed a new black-haired model with tight-fitting dress as a distraction.
edo competition also gave the model new shoes and legs – the Panamera that is. New ultra-lightweight forged wheels in a five double-spoke design have been installed in a 9.5 x 21 front and 11 x 21 rear fitment. For better grip, the front wheels wear 265/35 ZR 21 Michelin tires, while the rear is given a pair of 305/30 ZR 21 tires. The entire edo competition Panamera Hellboy is then lowered by 30 mm thanks to an electronic lowering module, reducing the sedan’s center of gravity.
As with most of edo competition’s tuning packages, the interior can also be given a transformation. Customers can customize the cabin with an array of steering wheels, trims, shifters, consoles, pedals, seats, and custom upholstery.
The entire edo competition Panamera Hellboy is currently available for the Panamera S. The aerodynamic kit is available for all Panamera models. Unfortunately, the model is not a part of the program.
