Get ready to unleash some tire-shredding HAVOC with the new tuning packages from IVS.
In the automotive world American muscle cars have always had a tantalizing appeal with brutal straight-line performance and massive V-8s. With Detroit starting a new era, the Big Three have each introduced a modern interpretation of their famous old-school muscle with even more power, the most popular being Chevrolet’s fifth-generation Camaro. The introduction of the retro muscle car has revived the horsepower wars between Chevrolet’s Camaro and Ford’s Mustang. In Chevrolet’s corner is Innovative Vehicle Solutions (IVS), a cutting edge company dedicated to pushing the boundaries of automotive performance and capturing the true motoring spirit.
The Detroit Metro-based company has unveiled three new tuning packages for the Camaro named the HAVOC 5, HAVOC 7, and HAVOC 9, each pumping out tire-shredding horsepower from a host of engine upgrades. Innovative Vehicle Solutions also showcased the new HAVOC Camaro Aero Kit that provides an intimidating appearance with OEM precision. The HAVOC tuning packages put Innovative Vehicle Solutions at the front lines of the Detroit horsepower wars with three explosive weapons for the Camaro.
Each of the three different tuning packages will wear the HAVOC Camaro Aero Kit for a fierce look and improved aerodynamics. Made using Reaction Injection Molding (RIM), the HAVOC Aero Kit is extremely durable and designed to fit OEM specifications for a straightforward fitment. The kit consists of a new front chin spoiler with dual brake cooling ducts that integrate into the side lower rockers with its strong feature lines. The powerful rear features an aggressive spoiler and a two-piece rear diffuser with paintable outer section and optional carbon fiber graphic for the center. Further accentuating the athletic bodywork are custom HAVOC 20-inch wheels. The 20 x 8 front and 20 x 9 rear wheels are available in unique bright chrome PVD or black chrome PVD coating that is both environmentally-friendly and more durable than standard chrome. The HAVOC Aero Kit also includes custom side and hood graphics for a more dynamic look.
For owners of the Chevrolet Camaro SS looking to extract a few extra ponies from the 6.3-liter LS3 V-8, IVS offers the HAVOC 5 tuning package that raises power output to 450-horsepower. The increase in power comes from the use of a revised engine management system, cold air intake, and a cat-back exhaust that gives the Camaro a violent roar. Also included in the HAVOC 5 package are custom powder-coated brake calipers mated to either slotted or drilled discs for improved stopping power. The interior does not go untouched with the HAVOC 5 package, as new custom-stitched headrests and floor mats create a more individual look. With the purchase of the HAVOC 5, customers also receive a personalized letter of ownership.
Extracting the most power from the stock LS3 engine is the HAVOC 7 tuning package. The HAVOC 7 includes the same equipment found in the HAVOC 5, and pushes horsepower to 605 ponies with some forced induction and additional go-fast engine upgrades. Sitting atop the powerful V-8 is a menacingly black Magnacharger supercharger, while long tube headers and high-flow catalytic converters scream with the push of the pedal. To handle 605 horses, customers can also opt for the Spohn Extra Duty Axles and CV joints. The interior receives the same exclusive appearance as the HAVOC 5, but can be optioned with a pillar-mounted boost gauge.
The most exciting and powerful tuning package offered by IVS for the Camaro is the LS9-based HAVOC 9. Powered by the same supercharged 6.2-liter V-8 as the Corvette ZR1, the HAVOC 9 kit pushes power to the 650-horsepower mark. With a stock output of 638-horsepower, IVS installs a cold air induction, new computer management system, and long tube headers and high-flow catalytic converters that erupt in a 650-horsepower fury. IVS also offers the heavy-duty Spohn axles and CV joints and a pillar-mounted boost gauge. As with the HAVOC 5 and HAVOC 7, the interior also features the custom-stitched headrests and floor mats, giving owners the opportunity to drive 650 horsepower in style and comfort.
Additionally, each of the three high-powered HAVOC tuning packages can be optioned with a custom full-leather interior. IVS also offers a rear-vision camera system to improve rearward visibility and improve safety.
All three of the HAVOC tuning packages are currently available for the fifth-generation Chevrolet Camaro from Innovative Vehicle Solutions. The Jeff Andretti Coaching Group LLC. will be working with Innovative Vehicle Solutions on high-performance shake down tests and track data acquisition for the HAVOC range. Prices for each of the HAVOC packages start at $7,000.00, while customers can also order the HAVOC Aero Kit without wheels for $2,250.00. Individual Aero accessories are also available, ranging from $225.00 to $625.00.
