Aside from all of the Land Rover and Range Rover models that the team at A Kahn Design have modified, restyled, and upgraded, the most rugged, go anywhere cars that Afzal Kahn has had his hand in building have been the Defender and Jeep Wrangler. With the Jeep Wrangler being one of his favorite vehicles, you can bet that will always receive the full upgrade treatment, the latest example of which is the new Jeep Wrangler Sahara 3.6 CJ400 Expedition by the Chelsea Truck Company.
The new SUV model brings its capable off-road skills to the boardwalk with style thanks to its new exterior and interior refinements from the British design company. The exterior was outfitted with a new aerodynamically optimized styling kit that features a new Kahn front grille made to slot right into the factory mounting points for an OEM fit and prevents debris from entering the engine bay. Optional cross-hair headlights flank the new grille and are complemented by new horizontal LED daytime running lights. New enamel fender shields, carbon fiber side blades, a black fuel filler cap, tron ring lighting, and Kahn enamel wing shields are also featured on the Jeep Wrangler Sahara 3.6 CJ400 Expedition. A new Chelsea Truck Company spare wheel cover is featured at the rear along with a new 100mm cross-hair exhaust system.
But that’s not all in terms of style and off-road capable upgrades. New Kahn RS wheels in a 9.0 x 20 fitment with a smoked black finish and 275 x 55 x 20 tires for extra load have been installed and are complemented by new red-painted brake calipers and a set of four toughened rubber mud flaps.
The interior may not be easily viewed by onlookers thanks to the dark-tinted privacy glass, but the cabin in a comfortable place to log long hours off-road. The Jeep Wrangler Sahara 3.6 CJ400 Expedition features black leather with contrasting stitching on the front and rear seats and a set of toughened rubber floor mats to prevent any messes. Both the speedometer and tachometer were given a black face for the driver and new machined aluminum pedals were installed for greater feel. The final touch is a set of stainless steel door entry sills.
