A modern take on a classic.
The Lamborghini Miura is a icon not just for the Italian automaker, but for the automotive industry as a whole due to its mid-engined layout and high-performance capabilities. Only 764 examples were built from 1966 to 1972 and it has become a sought-after collectable amongst enthusiasts across the globe.
Today, Lamborghini is focusing on revolutionizing the performance car game again by focusing on creating incredibly lightweight materials and mass producing carbon fiber to cut weight for improved driving dynamics. As the company moves on to a new era, what would happen if they brought back the Miura? Well, thanks to Graphic Artist and Designer, Alexander Imnadze, we have an idea of what things could look like if the Italian automaker chose to bring the icon back.
Imnadze created the Lamborghini Miura Concept GT by incorporating classic styling cues from the original car with the modern, angular lines and edges, and LED lighting featured on the new Lamborghini models. Aspects such as the side mirrors are placed on the front fenders and a modern take on the rear window louvres point back to the original car.
We highly doubt that the Miura is in the plans for Lamborghini over the next few years, but thanks to Alexander Imnadze, we have something to dream about. Be sure to check out his other work on his website.
