That’s probably how the new Leib Engineering E92 BMW M3 GT 500 would write an advertisement in the classified personals section of the local newspaper. If it were to be published we’re guessing that its mailbox would be flooded with replies “looking for a good time.”
And that lucky person would surely find it with the BMW M3 GT 500. Starting things off, the 4.0-liter V-8 engine has a little bit of excitement hiding beneath that hood. The naturally-aspirated engine gained a full stainless steel exhaust that goes all the way back from the manifold and includes a 100-cell HJS catalytic converter, X-pipe with middle mufflers, and rear muffler with vacuum-controlled Pierburg valves that can be opened or closed through the M-key. After a quick software tune, the V-8 churns out an attractive 470 horsepower and sends it through a quicker-shifting dual-clutch gearbox that also received a software update.
The chassis, along with the tuned engine, gives the Leib BMW M3 GT 500 a vibrant personality that’s packed with all sorts of charm. The entire chassis is now more dynamic thanks to a KW DDC ECU software reflash that allows the electronic damper system of the high-tech coilovers to be controlled through the EDC or M-keys. Red Brembo GT six-piston front and four piston rear calipers clench down on 380 x 32 and 320 x 28 mm discs for better stopping power with reduced fade, while a ABS software retune designed for racing slicks helps to further reduce stopping distances. Leib Engineering chose the OEM route for wheels and opted for a set of 8.5 x 19 and 9.5 x 19 BMW M220 forged alloys in a black powdered finish with 235/35 R19 and 265/30 R19 Michelin Pilot Sport Cup semi-slick tires for even greater amounts of grip.
But the Leib BMW M3 GT 500 is the perfect package when it comes to the dating game; it also has the looks to boot. Its Alpine White paint is contrasted by select OEM BMW Performance Program carbon fiber accessories such as flaps under the front spoiler, side mirrors, and trunk-mounted spoiler. Inside, “companions” will enjoy a wealth of soft alcantara worn by each of the BMW Performance seats and steering wheel with shift lever and digital display. Leib Engineering logos and stitching are worn throughout the interior and invite occupants to stay just a little longer after their date with the race track.
