A few goodies for the Italian stallion.
The Ferrari 458 Italia may have been replaced by the new 488 GTB, but that doesn’t mean it’s just going to go away quietly, not if Glouchestershire-based tuner, Litchfield, has anything to say about it. They developed a new upgrade program for the Ferrari 458 Italia that makes it quite the vocalist.
The goal for Litchfield was to create a program that improved performance in all areas for customers. They started out with the vocal chords for the high-revving 4.5-liter V-8 engine. The Maranello monster was given an Akrapovic exhaust system that weighs 31.3 lbs. less than the factory setup and features CNC mandrel-bent pipes that reduce backpressure. The exhaust was also paired up with a software tune that helps create a total of 551 horsepower output.
With the engine of the 458 Italia churning out thunder, the Litchfield team then went to work on the chassis. Here, they developed a new precision alignment using the same technicians that have worked with different Time Attack, sprint, race, and drag races that took home the checkered flag. The ‘fast road’ alignment ensures that each tire has maximum contact patch and gives drivers optimum steering and chassis geometry for superb handling.
In addition to the suspension, Litchfield gave the Ferrari 458 Italia a simple, yet very effective brake upgrade. Each of the factory brake lines were replaced with new stainless steel braided lines that are more reliable and produce a better brake pedal feel in performance driving situations.
The new Litchfield Ferrari 458 Italia upgrade program with software tune, Akrapovic exhaust, brake lines, and alignment is currently available for £11,995.00 ex VAT.
