Carbon fiber and forced induction sounds like fun.
In the aftermarket automotive world there is the tasteful, the cheesy, and the mind-bogglingly crazy. The Mansory Carbonado GT is the latter, resembling something that was conceived during a cocaine binge and then actually put into production. It’s a Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 covered in carbon fiber and strapped with a pair of turbochargers for a 1,600 horsepower output that shames the Bugatti Veyron and Koenigsegg One:1.
This crazy carbon fiber concoction features a 6.5-liter V-12 that’s been built with all sorts of motorsports parts and given a pair of snails. The once naturally-aspirated engine in the Mansory Carbonado GT has motorsports pistons, connecting rods, crankshaft, crank, cylinder head, and rod bearings while a full stainless steel exhaust system reduces backpressure. After the ECU was reworked to accommodate for the pair of turbochargers, the engine produces a monstrous 1,600 horsepower and 885 lb-ft. of torque. This enables the carbon fiber hypercar to reach 62 mph in a mere 2.1 seconds and hit a top speed of over 230 mph.
What gives the Mansory Carbonado GT its name and makes it such a head-turner is its new autoclaved carbon fiber suit. The ultra-lightweight and strong material covers virtually every nook and cranny on the Aventador. The front fascia is more aggressive thanks to a new skirt to improve airflow to the front radiator, a new skirt, and daytime running lights. Both the front wing and hood were replaced with lighter carbon fiber components. The menacing nature of the Mansory Carbonado GT is evident in its extended front and rear fenders that are 40- and 50 mm wider, respectively and are connected by new side skirts that redirect air into the intakes on the rear fenders. Carbon fiber elements decorate the engine cover and roof to add that special touch of speed. The final additions are at the rear where a large diffuser and wing work together to generate large amounts of downforce at high speeds.
Due to the high speed and incredible amounts of power created by the 6.5-ltier V-12 engine, the Mansory Carbonado had to be fitted with new wheels and tires. A set of in-house, five-spoke ultralight forged wheels with carbon fiber inlays were installed in a staggered 9.0 x 20 front and 13.0 x 21 rear setup with VA 255/30 ZR20 and HA 355/25 ZR21 Pirelli P Zero tires.
Inside is a handcrafted interior with all sorts of carbon fiber pieces along with soft black and white leather. The seats, dashboard, door panels, and console all wear custom-tailored processed leather with hand stitching. A new sports steering wheel with airbag and a set of non-slip aluminum foot pedals aid the driver as they try to tame all 1,600 horses. Starting up the Mansory Carbonado GT is an experience as the starter button was redesigned and relocated to the roof and now resembles an aircraft switch.
The Mansory Carbonado GT will be available as an upgrade program, not as individual parts or a complete car for sale. Pricing and other options are available by contacting Mansory.
