Mansory Does their Thing with the Mercedes-AMG GT S

Mansory Mercedes-AMG GT S

Turning the German coupe into a show-stopper.

Mansory unveiled a host of vehicles and upgrade programs for the 2016 Geneva International Motor Show, each one sporting a rather exotic look along with outlandish performance figures. The new Mansory Mercedes-AMG GT S is no different, packing a widebody kit and all the power you could ever ask for.

Carbon fiber is the name of the game for the widebody Mansory Mercedes-AMG GT S. Lightweight autoclaved carbon fiber elements make up the new front spoiler, grille bar, painted and ventilated hood, and Mansory logo in a dark red finish. A total of 25 mm is added on to each side of the sports car thanks to new fender extensions with integrated vents and intakes. At the rear, a wider fascia with integrated vents and diffuser work along with the rather intimidating spoiler wing to generate downforce and improve stability at high speeds.

Housed under those massive fenders on the Mansory Mercedes-AMG GT S are a set of in-house Spyder forged wheels measuring 9.5 x 21 up front and 10.5 x 21 at the rear with 245/25 ZR21 and 305/25 ZR21 tires. As an option, 10-spoke, center-locking forged wheels measuring 9.0 x 21 and 10.5 x 21 at the front and rear axle with corresponding tires are also available for those that want to cut even more rotating mass. A new set of lowering springs brings that center of gravity to a more performance-oriented setup as well.

Under the carbon fiber hood of the Mercedes-AMG GT S sits a hotter version of the hand-built 4.0-liter, twin-turbocharged AMG V-8. The motor was outfitted with a full stainless steel sport exhaust, sports air filter, and a pair of bigger turbos. All that was tied in together with a software ECU tune, resulting in a whopping 720 horsepower. That’s good enough for a 3.4-second 0-62 mph time and 205 mph top speed.

Mansory took quite a few steps to make the interior of the Mercedes-AMG GT S more luxurious while also upping driver engagement. A carbon fiber sports steering wheel and new aluminum pedal set put the driver right behind the potent V-8 while the rest of the cabin is dressed in hand-stitched leather and carbon fiber trim. As an added touch, the door entry sills featured illuminated logos to greet passengers.
