Limited to just 25 units for 2014, the new MB Individual Cars BMW Z4 is a carbon fiber-clad sports car with a harder edge and is even more rewarding through back country bends than the factory model.
Showcasing all of the new carbon fiber goodies is a Mineral White BMW Z4 that perfectly contrasts the lightweight parts added on by MB Individual Cars. Up front, the roadster benefits from a carbon fiber spoiler lip that reduces lift, and new air inlets and kidney-bean grille replacements for style. The side mirrors, side sills, and fender inserts are all made from the lightweight composite material as well. Even the butt of the BMW Z4 flaunts its lightweight material with a new spoiler lip, diffuser insert, and inserts that add a touch of sport.
While the carbon fiber gives the BMW Z4 a more athletic look, it’s what underneath the sheetmetal that makes it quicker on its feet. MB Individual Cars gave the E89 a new set of KW Variant 1 coilovers that sharpen up handling and subtly lower the ride height while deactivating the factory electronic damper control. A new set of H&R spacers connects the new 19-inch V703 VRM wheels wrapped in Continental sport tires. OEM F30 3-Series performance front brakes are also installed to offer a bit more stopping power than the original pair.
Inside, carbon fiber is the name of the game. All of the trim pieces on the center console, dashboard, gearshifter, rollover bars, and more are covered in the lightweight fun stuff. Holding the two front passengers in place are BMW Performance seats covered in alcantara.
As of now, the only modification to the BMW Z4 35is 3.0-liter, turbocharged inline-six is new 90 mm carbon tailpipes. MB Individual Cars is currently developing a software tune for the aforementioned engine as well as a full turbo-back exhaust system.
The MB Individual Cars BMW Z4 will be restricted to just 25 units and come standard with MOT certificate. The full carbon fiber set is currently available by 3,999 Euros.
