When AMG just isn’t enough.
Sometimes a hand-built AMG 6.2-liter V-8 just doesn’t produce enough power. Even though 451 hp and 441 lb-ft. can rocket the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG to 60 mph in just 4.3 seconds, some people just crave more. The high-horsepower freaks at McChip DKR and Kubatech understand this desire, and have introduced a new C63 tuning program for the AMG sedan.
The top model in the C-Class lineup is menacing, intimidating, and had a great deal of tuning potential. For the rear-wheel drive sedan, Kubatech developed and installed a “Stage 3” program that unleashed the true power of the V-8. A new Cargraphic complete exhaust system with headers, rear and middle mufflers, and remote controlled flaps was fitted for a viscous roar. After the exhaust, McChips-DKR got into the W204 tuning program with software optimization for the ECU, thus bringing the total output to 583 horsepower and 510 lb-ft. of torque. With the ECU tune, the top speed limiter is pushed back from the 155 mph stock setting to a blistering 192.63 mph (310 km/h).
The addition of over 130 horsepower to the C63 AMG meant that the rear wheels needed to be up to the challenge of putting that power to the ground. To maximize grip, a new set of Cargraphic black matte RS wheels were fitted. Up front, the multi-piece wheels measure 8.5 x 19 and wear a pair of ET47 Michelin sport tires while the rear fitment measures a wide 9.5 x 19 and is fitted with ET65 tires.
The entire McChip and Kubatech Mercedes C63 tuning package is currently available. The engine upgrade is priced at € 10,000 (+/- 14,000 USD), and can be installed in about three days. The wheel and tire fitment is priced at € 7,473.67 (+/- 10,500 USD).
