Minimalistic surround sound.
Earlier this year, Bang & Olufsen introduced the new BeoLab 12-3 speakers that were designed specifically for flat-screen television. The newest addition to the collection is the BeoLab 12-2 speakers that expand flat-screen television audio into a full-bodied surround sound experience.
The new Band & Olufsen BeoLab 12-2 speakers were designed by David Lewis Designers with a compact, sculpted shape. The aesthetically pleasing form and compact design makes the speakers easy to install and display on walls. The two speakers can be hung with the Acoustic Lens facing up or down depending on the height of the furniture for optimum sound quality.
Each BeoLab 12-2 speaker utilizes new ICEpower amplifier technology to produce 320 watts of clean sound. A 6 1/2-inch CosCone woofer, similar to those found in Bang & Olufsen automotive sound systems, is pointed towards the wall to ensure low-frequency dissipation and crisp bass. The Acoustic Lens tweeter emits high-frequency sound at a 180-degree angle with sharp definition and clarity.
“We’re thrilled to add these speakers to the BeoLab 12 collection,” said Michael Jensen, Product Manager at Bang & Olufsen. “Design and sound fans can now create a high-performance surround setup that is an integrated whole, both aesthetically and acoustically. But we also expect BeoLab 12-2 to appeal to a lot of music lovers just looking for a discreet way to enjoy great sound.”
The set of Bang & Olufsen BeoLab 12-2 speakers can be combined with the BeoLab 12-3 speakers for enjoyable and rewarding surround sound for television and music. The speakers are currently available in all Bang & Olufsen stores around the world.
