This M5 goes fast standing still.
Hamann is on a mission, or well “Mi5Sion” with the new F10 BMW M5. The incredible performance of the newest M5 model now has a design to match, as Hamann created a carbon fiber suite that emphasizes the power hidden beneath the hood and lets onlookers know that this BMW M5 is on a “Mi5Sion.”
The 4.4-liter, twin-turbocharged V-8 engine remains untouched in the new Mi5Sion, but it doesn’t need to be as the new body kit just looks fast enough. Things start out with a radical front fascia that features larger air intakes, integrated LED daytime running lights, and a front splitter. The kidney bean grille extends outwards and flows into the bumper, causing the headlights to be recessed inside the bodywork and appear slimmer and more aggressive.
The Hamann M5 Mi5Sion’s muscles are always flexed thanks to a set of carbon fiber fender extensions at the front and rear that create a dynamic and powerful appearance that’s 30 mm wider. All of the bodywork on each side is only 7.0 lbs. heavier than the factory components thanks to the use of carbon fiber. This figure also includes the use of new side skirts and door fixtures that add to the car’s overall aerodynamics.
Finishing off the upgraded Hamann Mi5Sion body kit is a new rear bumper that features a pair of air outlets to improve cooling efficiency. The quad stainless steel exhaust system is integrated into the diffuser insert and roof- and trunk-mounted spoilers help to generate downforce.
Filling in those larger fenders are two different styles of wheels from Hamann. Customers can choose from either 21-inch forged wheels in either the Unique Forged Formula or Anniversary EVO Hyperblack designs with a pair of Vredestein Ultrac Vorti R with superb handling, steering, and grip properties in 265 mm wide front and 305 mm wide rear sizes. Ensuring the new fitment sits snug in the extended wheel wells is a new sport suspension that lowers the ride height by 35 mm.
Just like its Alpine White exterior color scheme, the interior of the Hamann Mi5Sion was outfitted with an Alpine White cabin and leather seats with special carbon embossing. The door sill trim and foot pedals are both made from aluminum and offer a sporty touch.
The Hamann Mi5Sion BMW M5 upgrade program is available with an extensive range of options and can be ordered as an entire package or as individual accessories.
