Mean, just for the track.
In 2013, SRT introduced the Time Attack variants for the Viper model that were designed specifically for the track day enthusiast. The SRT Viper Time Attack models feature everything you’d ever need to tear up the racetrack and a limited run of 10 are being made available as exclusive Anodized Carbon Special Edition models.
SRT loves its special, limited-edition paints and the new Viper Anodized Carbon Special Edition is the newest to be added to the color palette. Only 50 of these Anodized Carbon Special Edition Vipers will be built with numbers 41-50 being built as Time Attack models.
“We’ve received an overwhelming response to the unique Metallic Matte exterior color since first showing the Anodized Carbon Special Edition Viper late last year,” said Ralph Gilles, President and CEO – SRT Brand and Motorsports. “So we’re adding even more exclusivity with 10 distinctive SRT Vipers that combine our special exterior color with the new Time Attack Group of performance parts to offer our customers mind-boggling limits on their favorite road courses.”
The Anodized Carbon Special Edition’s Metallic Matte Black and satin finishes are the first and only production applications on a Chrysler Group vehicle, making these 50 SRT Vipers pretty special. Each of the exhaust bezels, the fuel-filler door, carbon fiber brake ducts, and the rear appliqué all wear Satin Black Vapor and help to add contrast to the Metallic Matte Black exterior paint.
Inside, the SRT Viper Anodized Carbon Special Edition features alcantara, nappa leather, and carbon fiber. These driver-favorite materials are used virtually everywhere and are contrasted by orange stitching. The headliner, knee-blockers, and door bolsters all wear the grippy alcantara material while carbon fiber trim, gunmetal bezels, and orange vent accents add a customized touch. Holding driver and passenger in place are nappa leather and alcantara sport seats with orange stitching.
The 10 Time Attack SRT Vipers in the limited run of 50 Anodized Carbon models will feature all the track-day goodies that make driving even more exciting. A total of 339 lbs. of downforce is generated at 150 mph thanks to a new carbon fiber rear decklid spoiler and two-piece front corner splitters. New two-mode Bilstein dampers with orange springs and Street and Race Mode settings work with the Pirelli P Zero Corsa strapped onto matte black lightweight forged aluminum Sizewinder wheels, and solid sway bars to generate massive amounts of grip. Even the brakes have been upgraded to high-performance two-piece Brembo brake rotors adapted from the 2010 Viper ACR-X racer.
Only 50 of the SRT Viper Anodized Carbon Special Edition models will be produced with 10 Time Attack variants. Each model will also receive a numbered dashboard plaque to identify the limited-run of cars.
