The Audi R8 GT Spyder may be limited to just 333 examples, but that didn’t stop German tuner wheelsandmore from developing an upgrade program for the super convertible. The new Triade Bianco Audi R8 GT Spyder adds all the right things – power, performance, and style.
The high-output 5.2-liter V-10 engine was the first focus for wheelsandmore. As part of the Triade Bianco, the V-10 is fitted with a new stainless-steel exhaust system with remote-controlled valve flaps that allows drivers to alter the sound of the engine and is also 40 percent lighter than the standard exhaust. New carbon-frame air filters help suck in more air and are combined with a retuned ECU to produce 620 horsepower and 435 lb-ft. of torque, putting it at the top of the performance variants of the Audi R8.
The next, and arguably most important step for wheelsandmore on the Triade Bianco Audi R8 GT Spyder, was the wheel and tire setup. The featured 6Sporz² three-piece forged wheels were fitted in three different styles on the convertible super car without affecting the weight at the wheel hub. Customers have the option of a wide range of different colors and finishes along with custom finishes such as a carbon look center with matte black outer rim, complete matte black, or carbon look center with stainless steel outer rims.
Each of the 6Sporz² forged wheels are fitted in a staggered 9.5 x 20 front and 11.0 x 20 rear setup with 245/30/20 and 295/25/20 Continental Sport Contact 5P tires on the Triade Bianco Audi R8 GT Spyder.
Behind the upgraded wheel and tire setup sits a new suspension system that is designed for practicality and performance. wheelsandmore installed a new KW Automotive Level Control System hydraulic suspension lift with remote control that can raise the car by 40 mm to avoid road hazards. To improve handling even more, the R8 GT Spyder was equipped with adjustable rebound and compression damping for specific track setups.
