Someone’s going to have a bad day.
It’s only Monday and we already have a story that’s worthy of our Friday FAIL feature. It involves a new Ferrari FF and a delivery truck. In New York City, Emily Christensen-Flowers of NBC News tweeted out a horrific picture of a $300,000 Ferrari FF that had been badly damaged thanks to a delivery truck.
The Ferrari FF is an impressive, expensive, and exclusive machine that garners quite a bit of attention. Apparently, it didn’t get enough attention on Columbus Ave. in Manhattan on October 30th as a delivery truck driver backed right up into it, going right up onto the hood and smashing the car to the ground in the process (yes, the car is literally slammed).
Driving in New York City is hard, and it’s even harder when you have a big, Baldor Foods, Inc. delivery truck trying to navigate the busy streets. The driver reportedly told onlookers that he “didn’t see nothing” when he put the truck in reverse and drove backwards. Either that or he just really thinks the FF is blasphemy to the Ferrari nameplate.
On top of it all, the driver of the Ferrari FF wasn’t even the owner. It was a paid driver who was likely delivering the car or moving it for its owner.
Now just imaging having to make that phone call to your boss…
The Ferrari FF and its 651 horsepower 6.3-liter V-12 engine with all-wheel drive and seating for four is a polarizing supercar, but when you spend $300k+ on a car, you hate to see anything happen to it.
