More power, carbon fiber, and fun for the topless Aventador.
Novitec Torado first got into the tuning game as a brand under the Novitec Group with the Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 Coupe. Now that it has shed its top, Novitec Torado has altered its original upgrade package to suit the new Aventador LP 700-4 Roadster. Thanks to the upgrades, the open-top driving experience gets even better with a roaring V-12 that fills the air with its menacing note and carbon fiber aero that pins the supercar to the pavement.
Novitec Torado took to the wind tunnel when designing its full carbon fiber body kit to ensure maximum aerodynamic performance and quality. The full carbon fiber kit can be finished in matte or glossy finishes, or painted to complement or contrast the factory paint color.
Up front, the package starts out with a new two-piece spoiler that incorporates a central blade and spoiler on the left and right beneath the new, larger air intakes. Two integrated air ducts create a fold in the front trunk hood and run to the air extractor vents that sit in front of the windshield. All of these components on the Novitec Torado Lamborghini Aventador Roadster work to cool the brakes and reduce lift at the front axle.
As air moves towards the rear of the supercar, it’s met by new side sills with slats to help dissipate heat and air, while carbon fiber mirror housings add to the athletic nature of the Aventador. Novitec Torado also had some fun with the Aventador Roadster’s butt, where a large adjustable rear wing sits. The wing is controlled by a Novitec Cantronic unit and is raised at speeds under 112 mph to help keep the engine cool. A new diffuser mirrors the thin design of the centrally-mounted exhaust and runs the length of the bumper. The diffuser can also be extended into a more aerodynamically efficient double-diffuser setup.
As part of the package, the Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 Roadster also gains a taught suspension setup and new forged wheels. The new height-adjustable Novitec Torado sports suspension was developed in conjunction with KW Automotive and utilized the same 7-post shaker rig as the Toyota Formula 1 team to create a dynamic high-performance suspension. A set of sport springs that reduce height by 30 mm can also be installed as an option.
Both of these Novitec Torado suspension setups were specifically tailored for the staggered forged wheel setup on the Aventador Roadster. Novitec Tornado installed their three-piece NL1 forged alloy wheels in a wide 9.0J x 20 front and massive 13.0J x 21 rear setup to emphasize power and the wedge-shape profile. These lightweight wheels are shod in 255/30 ZR20 and 355/25 ZR21 Pirelli P Zero tires to ensure maximum grip.
The already potent 6.5-liter V-12 engine wasn’t given a huge power increase, but then again, it doesn’t exactly need one to knock your socks off. Novitec Torado added in a new software tune that alters the fuel injection and ignition mapping systems along with a high-performance exhaust. The exhaust can be installed in either stainless steel or lightweight Inconel, the latter of which reduces weight by 57 lbs. The full exhaust with sport catalytic converters can also be had with or without active sound control valve flaps that are controlled by the push of a button inside the cockpit. The pair of upgrades results in an impressive 728 horsepower and 523 lb-ft. of torque output.
The final aspect of the conversion is visible to all thanks to the open-air cockpit of the Aventador Roadster. Novitec Tridente can outfit the cabin with clear-coated carbon fiber trim pieces and full interior transformations utilizing fine leather and alcantara with a limitless array of colors and designs.
The full Novitec Torado Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 Roadster upgrade package can be purchased as an entire conversion kit or as individual accessories. Pricing has not been released.
