Taking control of the 570S.
The German car tuning specialists at Novitec Automobile have focused mainly on Italian super cars for years such as Ferrari, Lamborghini, and Maserati. They’ve recently expanded to include Rolls Royce, and now they’re working their magic on McLaren with their first victim being the 570S.
The first aspect of the upgrade program is the carbon fiber aerodynamic program that was developed in extensive wind tunnel testing. Each component can be painted or left to dazzle in their naked carbon fiber weave to match or contrast the body of the super car.
The Novitec McLaren 570S features a more dominating fascia thanks to the new front spoiler lip that is designed to reduce lift. New side skirts visually reduce the ride height of the super car and match the new carbon fiber intake covers behind the two doors that feed the engine and brakes with more air. Cool air is also fed into the engine bay through a new dual-branch air box sitting atop the rear hood.
Dominating the rear of the Novitec McLaren 570S is a large aerofoil that follows the curvaceous shape of the super car’s body. Below, new carbon covers on both sides of the bumper add a visual touch of sport.
Completing the visual transformation are new Novitec MC1 forged wheels. These five twin-spoke wheels help keep weight to a minimum while improving overall strength thanks to their forged alloy construction. Up front, the new MC1 wheels measure 9.0J x 20 with 235/30 ZR20 tires while larger 11.0J x 21 wheels with 305/30 ZR21 sit at the rear to emphasize the rear-wheel drive layout. Finishing off the fitment is a new set of Novitec sport springs that reduce the ride height of the McLaren 570S by 30 mm.
While the McLaren 570S packs quite a bit of performance in stock form, Novitec Automobile offers a range of three different upgrade kits. The most powerful of the group includes a new Novitec N-Tronic plug-and-play auxiliary control module and a Novitec Race high-performance exhaust system that reduces backpressure. The new performance kits allow drivers to activate or deactivate the power boost on the 3.8-liter, twin-turbocharged V-8 engine by using the Active Dynamic Panel in the cockpit.
After the upgrades are installed, the Novitec McLaren 570S produces 646 horsepower at 7,450 RPM and 510 lb-ft. of torque at 6,250 RPM. That’s enough to send the British super car to 62 mph from rest in 3.0 seconds and to a top speed of 208 mph.
Novitec Automobile also offers a different N-Tronic plug-and-play tuning module along with stainless steel and lightweight INCONEL exhaust systems with or without lightweight sports catalytic converters.
While the main parts of the Novitec Automobile upgrade program for the McLaren 570S focuses on the exterior, the interior can also be refined. Here, customers can choose from a range of leather and alcantara upholstery with individual stitching to create their own specially-tailored super car.
The new McLaren 570S program is the first of what will likely be a long line of upgrade packages for the British brand from Novitec Automobile.
