All the right stuff in all the right places.
The BMW 1-Series M Coupe might be a forgotten model after the coupe variant was killed off, but OK-Chiptuning is making sure that it still is able to provide a thrill for drivers. Their newest featured model sports a considerable amount of power along with an upgraded chassis for a darker, more aggressive theme.
The N54, turbocharged inline-six engine in the BMW 1-Series M Coupe packs quite a bit of potential that was exploited by a few basic upgrades from OK-Chiptuning. A new Wagner Tuning Evo 2 Performance intercooler and downpipes, Eisenmann race exhaust system, and Sachs Performance clutch were installed before the German software tuning specialists worked their magic. After a tune that took into account all of the new modifications, they put it on their in-house dynometer to see what the final number were, and they were nothing short of impressive. The new software tune also comes with the removal of the top speed limiter for triple-digit fun.
The in-house Dyhnojet 224xLC rated the BMW 1-Series M Coupe at 440 horsepower and 513 lb-ft. of torque according to EC standards and 451 horsepower and 526 lb-ft. of torque from 2,500 to 4,500 RPM according to DIN standards.
As part of the BMW 1-Series M Coupe’s modifications, the OK-Chiptuning team cleaned the intake and fuel system using a Bedi-cleaning method to clear out any carbon deposits that build up with direct-injection engines.
Prior to any engine modifications, the OK-Chiptuning team worked on the chassis. Here, the BMW 1-Series M Coupe was equipped with a new set of Schmidt CC-Line wheels measuring 9.x 20 up front and 12.5 x 20 at the rear with a black face and polished step lips. New 245/30 ZR20 and 295/25 ZR20 tires were also fitted along with H&R monotube coilovers for better overall handling performance.
Visually, OK-Chiptuning tapped into the M-Performance OEM line for a new rear spoiler, carbon fiber side mirror caps, radiator grille, and taillights. The M-Performance touch was also given to the interior in the form of a new steering wheel, gear selector, and foot pedals.
The new upgrades featured on the BMW 1-Series M Coupe by OK-Chiptuning are currently available.
