Pictures probably won’t ever do it justice.
BMW recently unveiled their new 3.0 CSL Hommage at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este in Italy to pay tribute to the iconic BMW 3.0 CSL from the 1970s. The original was a classic driver’s car with only the necessary equipment used for the sake of weight. The new model carried that concept into the modern era but has some varying opinions.
The new BMW 3.0 CSL Hommage is a very polarizing vehicle. Its design and DNA from the enthusiast-favorite original 3.0 CSL can be visibly seen and felt, however BMW’s step into the future may have ruffled a few feathers.
But, like all cars, pictures just don’t do it justice. Video is a much better platform for showcasing the 3.0 CLS Hommage’s design language and styling so that you can really appreciate what went into making the car. Thankfully, Marchettino was on hand at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este to capture the new vehicle starting up and driving.
