Get ready, SEMA.
ONXY Concept has unveiled their new 2014 Range Rover Aspen Editions that will be coming to SEMA Show in Las Vegas. The two new editions come in two flavors: the widebody Aspen Ultimate and the narrow-body Aspen Rogue. But the programs aren’t just limited to the width of the SUV, there’s a virtually endless array of options that include a full set of carbon fiber and polycarbonate bodywork, tuned engines, and lots more.
ONYX Concept claims to offer the largest selection of carbon fiber to feature to-date in this luxury sector. The Range Rover’s pillars, mirrors, aero fins, diffusers, and front air dams all wear the lightweight material. The visual muscle comes in the form of a new widebody kit for the Range Rover Aspen Ultimate that extends the wheelbase by 27 mm. All of the components including the hood, front and rear bumpers, side sills, and carbon fiber components were tested in the wind tunnel to optimize downforce and drag, and aid in cooling of essential parts. All of the parts were designed to complement the overall modern design of the factory Range Rover lineup, while adding a unique and sporty touch.
In terms of performance, both the ONYX Concept Range Rover Aspen editions can be fitted with suspension and engine upgrades. The wider track of the Aspen Ultimate can be paired up with a few suspension modifications and tweaks to improve handling stability through the corners by 12-percent. The entire range of gasoline and diesel engines can be tuned for performance, with the 510 bhp supercharged V-8 seeing an increase all the way up to 625 bhp.
Both ONXY Concept Range Rover Aspen Ultimate and Aspen Rogue will be shown at the 2013 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, and be available with a limitless array of interior and exterior options. The company will also be unveiling its first Onyx Sport San Marino Edition. The goal of ONYX Concept is to build over 1,000 custom vehicles in 2014 through their 47 global dealers. Over 250 preorders have already been confirmed.
