Welcoming some new members.
Those who are not familiar with racing know Patrick Dempsey as the dreamy Dr. Derek Shepherd in the popular television show, Grey’s Anatomy. Automotive enthusiasts know him for his driving career, where he has competed in the Baja 1000, 24 Hours of Le Mans, Rolex 24 at Daytona, and numerous other series with a variety of cars.
Now, Porsche Motorsport is welcoming him to their team. They are bringing on DempsyDelPiero Racing and Patrick Dempsey will be racing alongside Patrick Long and Joe Foster in the No. 77 DEMPSEY DEL PIERO – PROTON 911 GT3 RSR in the GTE Am class at the 2013 24 Hours of Le Mans. To celebrate the partnership, Porsche created a film showing Dempsey racing at the ALMS race at Long Beach and will be making a film of their newest driver as he competes at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
