Despite all of the criticism that the Panamera has endured for its four doors and polarizing design, there’s no question that it is one of the sportiest and dynamic vehicles in its class. Porsche is elevating the prestige and elegance of the Gran Turismo with the Porsche Panamera Exclusive Series.
The new Porsche Panamera Exclusive Series will be limited to just 100 units globally, and be the crème de la crème of the Panamera line. The basis for this posh model is the high-powered, long-wheelbase Porsche Panamera Turbo S Executive with its extra inches of rear seat space and potent engine.
A special two-color, graduated paint sets the Porsche Panamera Exclusive Series apart from the pack. A deep black metallic paint forms the base coat while below the door handles is a graduated brown metallic paint that sits between the contours along each side of the Panamera and fades as it moves towards the rear. Each of the 100 vehicles that are produced will be painted by hand to ensure maximum quality and a smooth blend of color. Deep black metallic also adorns the 20-inch Sport Classic design wheels and front air inlets to create even more contrast on the Panamera.
The 4.8-liter, twin-turbocharged V-8 engine sitting under the hood churns out 570 horsepower and 553 lb-ft. of torque (590 lb-ft. with overboost). This, coupled with the seven-speed PDK gearbox and all-wheel drive allows the Porsche Panamera Exclusive Series accelerate to 60 mph in just 3.7 seconds (with Sport Chrono) and reach a top speed of 192 mph.
Those triple-digit speeds are hardly perceptible, especially for passengers comfortably sitting in the high-tech rear seat space. The new Rear Seat Entertainment System Plus makes its world debut in the Porsche Panamera Exclusive Series and includes two high-resolution 10.1-inch touchscreens with built-in cameras and integrated DVD player. The multimedia system is capable of operating business and entertainment programs and includes mobile internet access. Passengers can also listen to crisp audio via cordless headphones or the in-car Burmester surround sound system.
A wealth of handcrafted, exclusive luxury wraps passengers in the front and rear. Each seat and lower door panel wears special hand-picked Poltrona Frau leather in Chestnut Brown with perforated center panels in the form of a Porsche crest. Contrasting black milled nappa leather is worn on the upper door trim to emphasize contrast as seen on the exterior. This is also visible with the burled walnut wood up front that transforms into deep black piano lacquer as it moves towards the rear.
Each example of the Porsche Panamera Exclusive Series will bear a tag displaying the limited edition number inside the cabin while hand-made badges behind the front air intakes showcase the Porsche Exclusive factory origins. Customers can also order a matching, five-piece luggage set made from the same Poltrona Frau leather with Porsche crest perforations as an option.
The new Porsche Panamera Exclusive Series will only be limited to 100 units worldwide as a left-hand-drive model. Pricing for European markets starts at 249,877 Euros while North American pricing has not been released.
